RPC is a non-profit organisation set up in 1993 by the EDB and PSB with a mission to help the SME retailers in Singapore upgrade and modernise their business. Associated with the SRA as well as the FMA, we work with the various organisations such as the merchants' associations, town councils, both group and individual retailers and the various governmental agencies to assist the SME retailers improve their business. Some of the projects that we engage in, besides ShopNET, are the Disney Cake Scheme, Fruit Trade Upgrading, BookNET, On-the-Job Training for the industry, Excellence in Shop Management Certification, and Business Reassessment programme. |

The Singapore Article Number Council, a component of the Singapore Confederation of Industries is the national body that formulates and implements policies relating to the EAN Bar Code Systems and EANCOM, a subset of UN/EDIFACT EDI messages. SANC also develops and maintains the National Product Catalogue which holds product data including the respective electronic product images. |
